The Four Horsemen is one of the greatest factions in wrestling history, with some of the greatest wrestlers of all time being part of the group. While there have been a few different versions and additions along the way, there has never been a modern group.
It's something that could change down the line though as it would be easy to see a modern group looking to recreate the faction. There are many wrestlers around right now who would be a perfect fit for the faction if it was around today.

Within this list, we will look at 10 current, modern-day wrestlers who would be great in a new version of the Four Horsemen and would have been part of the original group if it was here today.
10 The Revival
Whenever people talk about bringing back the Four Horsemen, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are two names that always come up. They are two of the best wrestlers in the world and as a tag team, very few are close to their ability.
The way The Revival wrestle is just ready-made for being in the Four Horsemen. They can slow it down or pick it up and they love to throw hands. They're not overly flashy but they certainly are very confident.

They are a throwback team that has based a lot of their in-ring style on the workings of the Four Horsemen, and because of that, fans would love to see them in a similar group.
9 Timothy Thatcher
Speaking of wrestlers who let their in-ring work do the talking. Timothy Thatcher is another person who would be ideal for the Four Horsemen as his in-ring skills are amongst the very best in wrestling right now.
Seeing him compete in the ring is always an enjoyable experience and he really can break it down with anybody. He is explosive and highly skilled both on the mat and in terms of striking.
While Ric Flair was well-known for his microphone skills, that wasn't the case for the entire group, so Thatcher would have no issues fitting in.
8 Shawn Spears
It's quite easy to see how Shawn Spears would fit into a modern-day version of the group given that he is being managed by Tully Blanchard. The legendary wrestler is one of the founding members of the group and they could easily restart it.

Having Tully manage a brand new group would be a lot of fun, and Spears would make a perfect fit. He might not be the most technically sound wrestler in the world, but he works a great style that flows well and is easy to watch.
He is also an excellent talker who is not short on confidence, which when all put together just leads to a brilliant blend.
7 Robert Roode
He is currently working as a tag team wrestler with Dolph Ziggler, but there's no doubt that Robert Roode would have been a great fit in the Four Horsemen. He is a brilliant wrestler who would be perfect in the faction.
Roode carries himself like a champion at all times, and in the past, he has been well-known to bust out an impressive suit as well. Add in his robe collection and methodical, old-school in-ring style and it is easy to fit Roode into the group.
He's also a fantastic talker that is very confident in his work, which is exactly what the Four Horsemen were all about. They cut some amazing promos over the years, and Roode is more than able to do that.
6 Dolph Ziggler
Speaking of Robert Roode, his tag team partner would also have been a great fit in the group. Dolph Ziggler is the perfect example of what the Four Horsemen were all about, believing they're the best with absolutely no excuses.
Ziggler has constantly spoken about himself being the best wrestler around or the show-stealer and he certainly backs it up in the ring. While he wrestles a much faster pace than the group normally did, that doesn't mean he couldn't make it work.

He is flamboyant and over the top and that is exactly what the group is famous for being. Add his flashiness inside the squared circle itself and it's easy to see Ziggler fitting in.
5 Cesaro
Cesaro might not have always been booked in the main event scene, but he is one of the best wrestlers in the world. That is why he would be the right call to put into the group if it was to return.
He has amazing abilities and incredibly power, which would allow him to be the muscle of the group, without being the typical 'big guy.' He is an amazing wrestler who has all the moves needed to be a member, and he also knows how to impress with a suit.
4 Chad Gable
Chad Gable deserves better than being Shorty G, and if the Four Horsemen were still around, he would likely receive better. He is a perfect fit for the faction simply because of how talented he is inside the squared circle.

His athletic background is stronger than the vast majority of wrestlers in the industry right now. When you add in the fact that he has bags of charisma, it seems like a no-brainer that he would be in a modern Four Horsemen.
3 Samoa Joe
On the outside, Samoa Joe might not seem like someone who would fit into the group. He's a true brawler and likes to work as a solo wrestler, but he also happens to have all of the qualities that members of the Four Horsemen are known for.
In the ring, he is absolutely fantastic. Whether it's throwing hands with someone or getting technical, Joe is able to work both styles very well. He is also one of the best wrestlers when it comes to being arrogant and overconfident.
His microphone abilities put most other wrestlers to shame which is also another reason why he is such a terrific talent. Joe could easily be the experienced head in a modern-day group and would do a great job at it.
2 Andrade
While the Four Horsemen didn't have members from Mexico, that doesn't mean it's impossible to have one. With more foreign wrestlers in this industry now, it would likely see a change for the group in a modern landscape.
One name that would be an obvious option to add into it would be Andrade. His in-ring skills are absolutely undeniable, being able to do things in the ring that very few people can.
He also has the look and the arrogance that is expected from a member of the Horsemen, which is why he is an easy fit into the group.
1 Nick Aldis
Right now the perfect wrestler who would have fit into the Four Horsemen is Nick Aldis. Not only is he the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, like Ric Flair used to be, but he is also someone who works an old-school style like the group used to do.
He exemplifies exactly what the Four Horsemen is all about, from the way he presents himself to how he works in the ring. His style is slower and more methodical, which is a throwback that suits the Four Horsemen style.
But when you add in the fancy suits and the confidence that he has about himself, it is easy to see how Aldis would have fit into the group.
