Fans like to have their own opinions about everything involving professional wrestling, including WWE's main roster, which is why they often overlook obvious realities. Whether that be because they don't like the idea of something that is happening or that they can't understand it, there are some harsh truths that people often turn a blind eye to.

WWE's main roster is jam-packed with great stars who all offer something unique, but there are certain things that fans should expect and come to understand about the roster on the whole, how they are booked, and why certain situations take place.

10 In-Ring Talent Doesn't Matter

When people think about WWE's main roster it is always seen as the pinnacle of the sport, so fans assume that everyone who is part of that will be great wrestlers. While there are many talented workers on the show that isn't the case for everybody, and the fact is the in-ring talent doesn't matter.

WWE will always push people who draw a rating, sell merchandise, and can cut a promo even if they're not great wrestlers. That's why exceptional in-ring talent like Akira Tozawa and Ricochet don't tend to get the same opportunities as someone like The Miz or Austin Theory.

9 LA Knight Won't Be World Champion

LA Knight is the flavor of the month right now in WWE, and he is certainly a very popular act for the company. Fans want to see him as a World Champion at some point, however, that is unlikely to take place due to his age and the fact there are still so many people ahead of him in the pecking order.

Knight could realistically have a run with one of the mid card titles and be entertaining, but seeing him headline premium live events seems like an unlikely situation.

8 Women's Tag Team Division Isn't A Priority

Aliyah as WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.

On the whole, WWE does a better job than most promotions with its women's division, which is why a lot of fans were excited about the idea of the women's tag team division. Adding the titles to the main roster could have created something exciting for fans and there have been some big names that have held them.

However, even though many fans are desperately willing for the division to success the harsh reality is that the division simply isn't a priority for WWE. The creative team is never going to put a focus on the titles, with these simply being props for the company to use.

7 Giants Always Get Pushed

Omos WrestleMania 39 Cropped

Throughout wrestling history one thing has always been clear, which is that giants will always get big opportunities and that is a harsh reality that fans have to accept. While certain giants have deserved that spot such as Big Show, many aren't good enough inside the ring to be pushed as much as they are.

Right now Omos takes up that spot as he is often given big opportunities at random, simply because of his height. It's not always deserved and he often struggles to make his chances work in terms of entertaining fans.

6 NXT Stars Will Still Flop

One complaint fans had for years was the fact NXT stars that Triple H spent years building up would head to the main roster and then flop. It's something people felt would change with Triple H in charge of creative, but the fact is that isn't the case, and fans have to learn to expect that it will continue.

The likes of Johnny Gargano and Tegan Nox have struggled massively during their time on the main roster even with Triple H being in control of what they're doing, which is a harsh reality people have to prepare for with certain call-ups, even though some will thrive.

5 Fan Favorites Don't Always Win

Sami Zayn loses in Canada Cropped

WWE claims that they always listen to the audience and let the fans guide the booking, but the harsh reality is that's not the case. While a few people have benefitted from fan support like Daniel Bryan, many haven't. People like Sami Zayn and LA Knight have had huge reactions as of late with fans wanting them to become top World Champions, but it hasn't happened.

That's because fan favorites don't always win, regardless of how badly an audience might want to see it. A wrestler can get monster reactions but find themselves not capturing the top titles, which can be disheartening for audiences to understand.

4 Many Wrestlers Don't Gain Reactions

People like to think that because these wrestlers are on the main roster in WWE they will always get big reactions and be treated like ultimate stars. However, that simply isn't the case as there are plenty of wrestlers on these shows that barely get any reaction from a crowd.

Whether that's because they have a forgettable character or they are simply boring to watch, there are many stars on the main roster that people don't care about, regardless of the fact they've reached the pinnacle of the industry.

3 Celebrities Will Always Take Big Spots

 Logan Paul in WWE

WWE loves bringing celebrities into the fold whenever they can in a bid to get as much attention on the product as possible. This often brings some great moments as audiences love to see various celebrities appearing if they're committed, but the harsh reality is that they will always take up someone's spot.

If a celebrity is willing to step into the world of wrestling then WWE often treats them accordingly, providing them with a lot of time in terms of promos and then featured spots on the PPVs. It can be frustrating for fans to see if they want to watch wrestlers who have traveled around the world and worked harder end up being put on the sidelines.

2 Cody Rhodes Will Become John Cena 2.0

Cody Rhodes Raw April 4, 2022 Cropped

Right now the WWE Universe loves Cody Rhodes, with the American Nightmare being the top babyface of the entire company. However, those hoping he might end up turning heel down the road are likely going to be frustrated, as WWE seems set to keep him a babyface for the long term.

He is likely going to be sticking around with this character and that is something that might end up becoming polarizing. However, he makes the company a lot of money via merchandise and that is ultimately going to determine WWE's decision.

1 Roman Reigns Is Going To Remain The Top Guy

Roman Reigns has had a lengthy grip on WWE's main event scene and that is something that a lot of people are starting to grow tired of. However, the harsh reality that people need to come to terms with is the fact that he is going to remain the top star in the company for much longer.

This is going to be the case until Reigns no longer wants that spot and decides to walk away from wrestling, potentially to head to Hollywood. WWE spent years getting him into that spot and being accepted, therefore that isn't going to change at any point soon.
