While AEW All Out this past September was a fairly decent show, it was immediately overshadowed by the events that occurred afterward. During the post-show media scrum, the newly-crowned AE World Champion CM Punk went on a wild tangent regarding his past friendship with Colt Cabana, his disdain for AEW's EVPs, and his frustrations with backstage drama.

He was confronted by the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega and a fight broke out. The altercation included a steel chair being thrown at Nick Jackson's head, and AEW producer Ace Steel biting Kenny Omega on the arm. All parties involved were suspended and stripped of their AEW championships.
CM Punk Returns To The Public Eye
CM Punk has not been back in an AEW ring, or even on AEW television, since All Out. The Elite has recently been featured in some vignettes hinting at their imminent return, but CM Punk is almost definitely on his way out from the company.
However, that doesn't mean CM Punk is dumb with combat sports altogether. Last night, CM Punk resumed his color commentary gig with MMA promotion Cage Fighting Fury Championships. During the event, Punk even made a quip about the altercation at All Out, saying to his co-commentator "I’ve missed you, I missed everybody watching at home, I miss the fights, but tonight I’m not gonna do that.
With the AEW locker room turning more firmly against Punk day by day, it's likely that Punk will be able to make it to many more CFFC events in the future.
