As previously noted, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was reportedly angry over a botched spot in last Saturday's Survivor Series WarGames bout.
Reigns, Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy and Jey Uso (The Bloodline) won the men's WarGames match against Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre and The Brawling Brutes. Reigns was said to be upset over a botched spot during the man, and the 37-year-old superstar didn't end up appearing at the Survivor Series press conference that he was scheduled for. Sami Zayn and Paul Heyman spoke to the media in Reigns' absence.
Dave Meltzer provided details on Reigns being "furious" over the botched spot in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required). Meltzer noted that Owens "slapped" The Tribal Chief so hard that the latter "had a big bruise visible from it under the left eye" as well as "a left eardrom injury."
According to Meltzer, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion "was furious and backstage after went off on Owens, with swearing and such." Meltzer heard from sources that Reigns was angry not just because of the injury, "but also because it wasn’t a spot he had known about and felt it didn’t make sense to do it in the match."
However, things "blew over by 20 minutes later", according to Meltzer, who noted that Reigns even used his creative freedom to get Owens and Zayn involved in The Bloodline storyline.

Zayn helped The Bloodline escape with a victory at Survivor Series WarGames by delivering a low blow to Owens, his long-time frenemy in WWE. The Prized Fighter got a bit of comeuppance by defeating Jey Uso on this week's episode of Raw.
WWE Reportedly Has Big Plans For Reigns-Owens Feud
As previously noted, WWE is reportedly planning a title match between Reigns and Owens for the Jan. 28 Royal Rumble pay-per-view that will run at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Owens and Reigns also faced off for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2021, which the latter won.
Though Owens flourished as a top babyface during his late 2020/early 2021 program with Reigns, he didn't have the chance to do it in front of a live audience, as WWE was in the midst of the ThunderDome era. But it sounds as though The Prized Fighter will finally get his opportunity to shine in the main event scene again in front of a live audience.
