WWE's Paige has told fans she isn't going to stop streaming on Twitch despite WWE's new directive over third-party appearances.

Vince McMahon has ordered company talent to get off platforms such as Twitch and Cameo, with efforts at changing his mind having failed. Paige was reported to have broken down in tears during talks with the WWE chairman as she values being able to connect with fans on her own time.

Although she wasn't able to convince McMahon to back down, Paige says she's going to continue streaming because it's good for her health and the Twitch community helps her cope with not being able to wrestle or go on the road.

"Yeah, I'm staying on here. I feel like it's very important," she said during a recent stream."

A number of WWE stars were made to suspend their accounts over the last few weeks. It's understood that WWE wants to continue working with Twitch but wrestlers will have to go through them and hand WWE a share of whatever money they make.

As you can imagine, this hasn't been taken well and it's something WWE should have expected as the promotion's performers are listed as independent contractors. Several wrestlers are said to have reached out to former presidential candidate Andrew Yang, who is keen to take WWE to task over the issue should Joe Biden win the election this month.

Meanwhile, Paige has revealed that a new website is in the works but has been delayed as she does not want to exacerbate the situation.

Paige Seems To Be Alone In This Fight

It would be quite surprising if WWE wins this battle and Paige, for one, isn't willing to get off Twitch just because WWE says she should. The company could be met with legal action should they attempt to attach real consequences to contravention of its new rules.

It appears she's the only one refusing to back down so far. AJ Styles is among stars to have suspended their Twitch accounts following McMahon's demands.

"This isn’t good bye, but this is see you sometime in the future," he said, per PWInsider. "We will leave discord open, but it won’t be monitored we will be making changes. Chris or I will let you know what that looks like once we figure it out. If you see me at the arenas or whatever be sure to let me know you’re part of the phenomenal family. Again this isn’t the end it’s just a pause. Thank you again for your support."
