Seth Rollins Admits The Bray Wyatt Character Was Difficult To Work With

If all of the rumors and reports are to be believed, WWE's White Rabbit teases will continue this week and come to a head at Extreme Rules on Saturday. Whoever is behind this whole thing will then be revealed, and even though it could be a few different people, the general consensus is that it will mark the return of Bray Wyatt. There might well be a riot in Philadelphia on Saturday if it's not.

Seth Rollins On Working With Bray Wyatt

While no one on the inside is giving anything away, that doesn't mean discussing Wyatt is off-limits. Seth Rollins recently opened up about his final feud with Wyatt, making him one of the few Superstars who was afforded the chance to work with The Fiend. As unique an opportunity as that was, Rollins admitted to Ariel Helwani (H/T to Cageside Seats for the transcription) that working with Wyatt was difficult.

“The Bray Wyatt character is just difficult. If you look at anybody that worked with the Bray Wyatt character for an extended period of time, they didn’t come out of it better than they went in,” Rollins said. “That was the end for the Seth Rollins character as you knew it, the Beast Slayer character.”

Rollins And Wyatt Inside Hell In A Cell

It's no secret that Rollins and Wyatt's rivalry was a tricky situation for WWE to navigate. The Hell in a Cell match between the two ended in controversy thanks to its convoluted finish. Since The Fiend had been framed as unbeatable, but WWE didn't want him winning the title from Rollins at that time, the match ended in a no contest. A finish that flew in the face of what a HIAC match is supposed to signify.

Rollins' image as The Beast Slayer was damaged even further when he lost a rematch, and the Universal Title, to Wyatt shortly after that. All of that being said, The Architect did make it clear that he would like another crack at feuding with Wyatt. He might well get his wish if the absent wrestler really is the one behind WWE's White Rabbit teasers.
