Full Gear has now been and gone, and it feels like a large part of what went down directly after All Out has been put to bed on the back of it. The Elite returned to the promotion following their suspension, and CM Punkappears to have been removed from the cover of Fight Forever. As for the relationship between Punk and the group, The Elite wanted to make sure fans knew they heard them on Saturday night.
CM Punk Chants On Being The Elite
If you didn't watch the show, and you haven't heard since, when The Elite competed in their return match, fans in attendance vociferously chanted “fuck CM Punk”. While they held back their reactions in the match, Being The Elite returned this week, and those chants were focused on for a small segment of the YouTube show.

Highlights from the match were playing midway through the episode with music playing over the top. However, when it came time to pull focus to the chants, the music was turned off and the soundtrack was replaced with the aforementioned chants. Just in case anyone was wondering how The Elite feels about Punk, and whether the reports regarding what happened are accurate, that might well serve as further proof that it's all very likely true.
Is There A Way Back For Punk?
Colt Cabana also wanted to make sure he heard and seemingly appreciated what AEW fans had to say as they chanted at Full Gear. Cabana tweeted, “I was chanting for The Elite,” during the match. An implication that he may well have joined in with the Punk chant. The broken relationship between Punk and Cabana was a large part of the former's post-All Out rant, even though Cabana doesn't appear to have been involved in the apparent brawl that came after.
The Elite's AEW careers will now continue to move on and Punk will likely be left in the past. A significant footnote in AEW history after he held the World Championship for two, very short stints. As for Kenny Omega and The Yung Bucks, it has since been announced that their return match was the first in a series of seven during which the Trios Championships will be on the line.
