The Young Bucks are arguably the greatest tag team of their generation, and they have played a huge role in helping to make AEW what it is today. From their in-ring matches to their creativity on YouTube, Matt and Nick Jackson have constantly proven their credentials as a tag team.

That is why Tony Khan always books them in prominent positions, and they repay him with their performances. Their rivalries have sometimes been headline-worthy for the AEW Tag Team Champions, and other times the storylines have been a little more forgettable, showing the range in them and how they've been booked to this point.
10 The Brotherhood
The Young Bucks and The Brotherhood were able to put on a fantastic match against each other, but the actual storyline between the four of them wasn't too great. The focus was mainly on Cody Rhodes and Dustin being able to work together, which is something that fans wanted to see.
Putting them against The Young Bucks was a good idea in terms of creating a good in-ring encounter, but there was no real heat between the four of them outside each duo wanting to prove they were the best brother tag team.
9 MJF & Chris Jericho
This storyline was very similar to that of The Brotherhood, where The Young Bucks were thrown into a Tag Team Championship match against a rather odd duo that fans didn't know how to take. The entire storyline was about MJF and Chris Jericho and their relationship, with The Bucks feeling more like an afterthought.

They were just there to help facilitate a good match, which is something Matt and Nick Jackson are always capable of doing. However, there wasn't enough for people to gravitate towards or remember when it came to this particular storyline.
8 The Dark Order
A lot of fans likely forget this rivalry as it was only a short one, and it all took place on television, but it was enjoyable at the time as it helped to establish The Dark Order as a serious faction that wasn't to be messed with.
Because of how many people were involved the matches always felt fresh, with The Bucks sometimes having help and sometimes going at it just as a team, which created some compelling television at the time.
7 Santana & Ortiz
The Young Bucks feuded with Santana and Ortiz early on, with this being before the latter had truly gotten over as a tag team with casual audiences, and while they were known by hardcore fans, that wasn't the case for everyone. That ultimately hurt their early storyline because fans weren't quite as invested.
The two teams always had great matches, but the storyline was dominated by The Young Bucks and wasn't one that ever kicked into the next level in terms of great PPV moments to make this a classic.
6 The Hardys
The storyline between The Hardys and The Young Bucks is one that people were excited about after what they had done together in Ring Of Honor. The rivalry was fairly rushed, not being given tons of time, but they more than delivered with their match and Matt and Nick worked hard to get people invested in this one.
They dressed up as The Hardys and worked hard to make sure that fans were caring, putting a lot of effort in via their YouTube channel. In the end, this storyline got cut short due to Jeff Hardy's arrest, but it was short and impactful at the time.
5 Jurassic Express
The storyline between The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express was always fairly hit-and-miss overall and a big reason for that was because it was stretched out over time. They have competed several times in big matches from straight-up tag teams to huge stipulation encounters.
The in-ring work is always fantastic during these matches, and the feud did work in elevating Jurassic Express as a tag team, making fans buy into them as a serious threat. But there was never tons of heat between them as they didn't push things as much in terms of promos.
4 The Inner Circle
While The Young Bucks had already been feuding with Santana and Ortiz previously, this time it was very different as the entire rivalry was a true faction war bringing The Elite against The Inner Circle. It created a fantastic rivalry that was built up well and led to some unique and entertaining matches during the pandemic.
If the fans had been around during this period it would likely have been an even greater storyline, but there's no doubt that fans remember this rivalry as it was built up well and given tons of time overall.
3 Kenny Omega & Hangman Page
The storyline between The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega and Hangman Page was an excellent one as it was able to add in so many layers of long-term storylines. For those who had been invested in the group throughout the Being The Elite journey to AEW becoming a company, this was something to easily invest in.
The match that they provided is one of the greatest tag team bouts in the history of the business which certainly helped. Plus, The Young Bucks were then heavily involved in the singles feud between Omega and Page as well, with this having some great details.
2 Death Triangle
The Young Bucks have feuded with Death Triangle a couple of times, and it has always been special as the two teams push each other to their limits every time. They had an early feud, but when things got heated was far later when The Young Bucks were heels, acting arrogantly.

That was a storyline that kicked into the next level as fans were massively behind the Lucha Bros in this situation, and it led to an insane Steel Cage match which wrapped things up perfectly to make this rivalry an iconic one.
1 FTR
Without a doubt, the best storyline that The Young Bucks have had in AEW is with FTR, which is something that has been on and off since the former WWE tag team arrived in the company. It was actually bubbling from before that too, with this being something that fans have always wanted to see.
There are passionate fans in each corner of this argument as to which team is the best, and that makes it even greater. Their differing styles have complemented each other perfectly in the ring, and so far everything they've done against each other has been magic.
