Mike Bennett has revealed WWE had plans to bring Bray Wyatt's Funhouse puppets to life, and he had been given the role of Sister Abigail.
Before The Fiend disappeared from WWE TV, before he was burned alive by Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt resided in his Firefly Funhouse. Wyatt was joined by a number of other Funhouse residents in the form of puppets. Huskus the Pig, Ramblin' Rabbit, and a few others. Where they are now remains a mystery, but apparently, at one point, there were plans to bring them to life.

That's at least what released WWE Superstar Mike Bennett, known as Mike Kanellis, has claimed. During an interview with Metro, Bennett revealed there was a time close to the beginning of The Fiend's run where he was told he would be one of the puppets. Not just any puppet, but Sister Abigail.

"Each puppet was gonna represent an actual person. I don’t remember, there were talks that I was gonna be Sister Abigail and Eric Young was gonna be a buzzard," Bennett revealed. Bennett explained that Vince McMahon was very keen for Wyatt to lead a group when he first became The Fiend and that he and Young would have been members of that group. However, the plans fell flat for seemingly no reason at all.
The Puppets Remained Puppets
"Like most stuff there, right before it happens they’re like, ‘Oh yeah, we’re not doing that anymore'," Bennett went on to say. The puppets remained in their original form and Bennett returned to doing not much at all. Other than briefly being used alongside his wife Maria and wrestling on 205 Live, Bennett wasn't used much during his WWE run. Bennett currently competes in ROH, failing to capture the Pure Championship over the weekend.
As for Wyatt, he has been missing since the night after WrestleMania 37. Alexa Bliss has sort of taken his place and while it hasn't even been explicitly said, she appears to have assumed the physical role of Sister Abigail. That WWE was once considering Bennett for that role is fascinating. The Fiend's path would have been incredibly different had those plans gone ahead.
