Last week, WWE announced that the Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar showdown at WrestleMania 38 will be a title unification match.
After Lesnar emerged victorious at Elimination Chamber to become the new WWE Champion, WWE announced a "Winner Takes All" stipulation for the main event of WrestleMania 38. It was subsequently announced that the two titles will be unified, leaving room for only one world champion.
Interestingly, WWE is advertising a WWE Championship match at the Apr. 30 "Saturday Night Main Event" show in Lakeland, Florida, per Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com. Why is this noteworthy? Because the match is advertising Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, and not Reigns nor Lesnar.
As Middleton pointed out, the commercial may have been aired before WWE announced the unification stipulation. However, Middleton also noted that the commercial was aired during last week's edition of SmackDown, and it was on Friday when WWE announced that Reigns vs. Lesnar would be a title unification match.

Although it feels highly unlikely, WWE could always move away from the "Winner Takes All" and title unification storylines. There could even be a swerve where the winner of the match ends up losing one of the titles soon after which would nullify the whole "unification" idea.
WrestleMania 38 will mark the third WrestleMania main event featuring Lesnar and Reigns. The two also headlined WrestleMania 31 and WrestleMania 34. The winner of this match will hold a 3-2 lead in the all-time head-to-head series.
So Many Questions
For what it's worth, Dave Meltzer reported last week that there will still be one major championship for men's superstars on both brands. This all leads to several questions: Will there really be a title unification? If so, what will the name of the next world championship belt be? Needless to say, it'll be interesting to see how things play out before, during and after WrestleMania.
