We are now just two days away from Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, which will take place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

There are four confirmed matches on the card right now, including two Elimination Chamber matches.

Drew McIntyre will defend his WWE Championship inside the chamber against AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Jeff Hardy. Bobby Lashley is scheduled to defend his United States Championship in a triple threat match against Keith Lee and Riddle, though Lee's status for Sunday is up in the air.

And finally, Universal Champion Roman Reigns will defend his title against the winner of the six-man Elimination Chamber match consisting of Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and King Corbin.

In recent weeks, WWE has pushed Cesaro as a strong babyface, having picked up two victories over Bryan on SmackDown. And it sounds like the 40-year-old superstar will finally get a shot at the Universal Championship this Sunday.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Shiven Sachdeva of Sportskeeda), suggests that it'll be Cesaro who emerges victorious in the Elimination Chamber to earn a title opportunity.

Meltzer noted that WWE has "been trying to feature Cesaro of late". He brought up previous speculation that Bryan would be the one to face Reigns, but with Bryan losing the majority of his recent matches, that appears unlikely.

Of course, even if Cesaro is currently locked in to win, Vince McMahon could always change his mind at the last minute. He's done this with marquee matches many times before. We'll just have to wait and see how things play out this Sunday.

Cesaro Deserves This Opportunity

Many fans, pundits and several wrestling legends believe Cesaro is one of the most underrated superstars of this era. His incredible in-ring work speaks for itself, but for whatever reason, WWE has decided against pushing him as a main event star. But it looks like Cesaro could finally get that long-awaited opportunity this Sunday. It's simply long overdue.
