Stone Cold Steve Austin has been posting a lot of workout videos on social media lately. That coupled with the reveal he has been asked to wrestle again by WWE's new regime has fueled speculation The Texas Rattlesnake will compete in another match at WrestleMania 39. Austin has seen that speculation and decided to respond.

Stone Cold Has Heard The Speculation

The Hall of Famer posted another video from what appears to be his home gym, running through some more of what he does in there. However, midway through he takes a break to address the speculation surrounding another potential return. “People have been speculating, 'Hey Steve, what are you doing? What are you training for? Are you training for an event?' ,” Austin says to the camera and his followers.

“Speculate what you want. I just simply looked in the mirror and realized I look like shit.” Austin reiterates at the end of the clip that he is back in the gym, and sharing his progress on social media, because he didn't like what he saw in the mirror. It doesn't have anything to do with a potential return, but he does word his comments carefully so as to not address the recent reports that he has discussed coming back for another match with WWE.

Stone Cold's WrestleMania Return

Stone Cold returned to the ring at this year's WrestleMania, competing in his first match for 19 years. Austin was assumed to be one of the few people in wrestling who would stick to his retirement, but the temptation to compete opposite Kevin Owens in a WrestleMania main event in his home state of Texas proved too good an opportunity to turn down.

Although the match was clearly curated around what Austin would and wouldn't be able to do considering his age and how long he had been away from the ring, it was a huge success. Such a success that whether it happens or not, there is clearly a desire for Austin to do more. Potential opponents for The Bionic Redneck next year include John Cena and perhaps even CM Punk.
