WWE has never done a lot with tag teams outside of rare occurrences. The Attitude Era and the SmackDown Six were the only real times that WWE did any significant push for tag teams since their heyday in the '80s. Instead, WWE likes to take their top stars, especially those feuding with each other, and create makeshift tag teams.

This fact means that most of the top stars in WWE have held tag team titles, usually with the man they were feuding with in a singles title with at the time. However, several top talents in WWE have avoided the tag team scene. Here is a look at 10 current WWE superstars who never held tag team gold in WWE.
10 BROCK LESNAR
Brock Lesnar was in a tag team when he was in developmental, and he won three tag team titles in Ohio Valley with Shelton Benjamin as part of the Minnesota Stretching Crew. However, once he officially joined WWE in 2002, he never worked in a tag team again.
Lesnar is an eight-time world champion (five with the WWE Championship and three with the Universal Championship). He has won no other title, singles, or tag team, never stepping out of the main event scene while under a WWE contract.
9 ANDRADE
Rumor has it that Paul Heyman sees Andrade as one of the company's biggest stars in the future, and he is currently the United States Champion. However, that was interestingly enough, his first title of any kind since coming to the main roster after his stay in NXT.
Andrade was a star in NXT, winning their top championship and putting on great matches along the way. Before he came to WWE, Andrade was part of Los Ingobernables in Mexico, but in WWE, he never worked as a regular member of a tag team and never held a tag title of any sort.
8 AJ STYLES
AJ Styles has proven over his career to be a great tag team wrestler. He won the ROH tag titles with Amazing Red and the TNA tag titles six times with a variety of partners, his best being Christopher Daniels. However, since signing with WWE, Styles has only worked the singles scene.
In WWE, AJ Styles showed up in the Royal Rumble, feuded with Chris Jericho and John Cena, won an undercard title, and then became the world champion. He never ended up tagging with an enemy and just kept working the singles scene, never holding a WWE tag team title.
7 ALEISTER BLACK
Aleister Black is very similar to Andrade in his WWE tenure. He showed up in NXT, impressed everyone there, becoming a quick fan favorite. He then won the NXT Championship and held it until it was time to move up to the main roster.

Once on the main roster, Aleister Black started working in a tag team with Ricochet. However, that was short-lived as WWE knew that Black was better off working by himself, and he has been a loner ever since. He also hasn't won a singles title yet since coming to the main WWE roster.
6 BOBBY LASHLEY
Bobby Lashley is similar to Brock Lesnar in many ways. He came to WWE as a physical freak of nature. He even got a huge push that resulted in him working with Donald Trump to defeat Umaga and help shave Mr. McMahon's head at a WrestleMania event.
However, unlike Lesnar, Lashley never made it to the world title scene. Interestingly, he also never worked the tag team scene. He won the ECW title twice, the IC title twice, and the U.S. title once, but never held a major world or tag team title in WWE.
5 KEVIN OWENS
Kevin Owens has been known for two things over his career. He was in a great tag team with Sami Zayn in Ring of Honor, and he has feuded with Sami Zayn for years after that in ROH, NXT, and WWE. He also worked with Chris Jericho as a team and then feuded with him as well.
Now, he is working with Samoa Joe. Will he finally do the one thing with Joe that he has never done since coming to WWE? Owens has never held a tag team title in WWE, but he might have a chance as he and Joe are feuding with Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy right now.
4 SAMOA JOE
As mentioned, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens look like they might be ready to win the WWE Raw tag team titles from Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy. And, just like Owens, this would be the first time that Samoa Joe has held tag team titles in WWE.

Samoa Joe has limited experience as a tag team wrestler. In NXT, he and Finn Balor won the Dusty Rhodes classic, but they never took the step to win tag team titles. Joe is a two-time NXT Champion and two-time U.S. Champion, but he has never held tag team gold in WWE.
3 BARON CORBIN
Baron Corbin is an interesting story. He was popular in NXT, where he would come to the ring and destroy his opponent while fans counted to see how fast his matches would end. He went to the main roster without ever winning a title in NXT, and the fans hated him there.
He ended up as the U.S. Champion, but that is the only title he has ever held in WWE. He won the Andre the Giant battle royal at a WrestleMania, won the King of the Ring, and won Money in the Bank, but failed when he tried to cash it in. That is the height of his success in WWE.
2 RUSEV
Rusev is one of the most misused wrestlers in WWE history. He was in NXT when Bo Dallas was champion, but he failed to win a title while in developmental. Rusev then came up to the main roster with Lana as his manager, and he had a lengthy undefeated streak, looking like a monster.
WWE fed him to John Cena and Rusev was pushed back down. He was part of an anti-American faction called League of Nations but didn't have any success there. In his WWE career, Rusev is a three-time U.S. Champion — and that is it.
1 HEAVY MACHINERY
All the WWE superstars on this list worked as singles wrestlers and never seemed to need to be part of a tag team, meaning they never had a chance to win the tag team titles on Raw or SmackDown. On the other hand, Heavy Machinery is a fully formed tag team, and they have never won tag team titles either.
Heavy Machinery started in NXT in 2016. They never won tag team titles there. The two then made their debuts on Raw, and they never won the titles there. They then moved to SmackDown, and despite getting several opportunities, they still have never won tag team titles in WWE.
