One day after the Oscars, it’s only fitting that WWE would confirm in an official press release that WrestleMania 37 is going Hollywood.
WWE's biggest show of the year and most famous event, WrestleMania, will return to the state of California next year and will take place at SoFi Stadium, according to a report from The L.A. Times. The announcement was made official Monday morning by WWE.
WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon said as part of the announcement, "On behalf of everyone at WWE, we are excited to bring WrestleMania back to Los Angeles.” The company has produced a number of WrestleMania pay-per-views from that city. He added, "WrestleMania will set the bar for future sports and entertainment events held at SoFi Stadium as we add this facility to the list of iconic venues that have hosted our pop-culture extravaganza."
WrestleMania 37 will take place on March 28, 2021 and will mark the first time WWE has returned to Los Angeles in over 15 years. The last Showcase of the Immortals was held there in 2005 when WrestleMania 21 was tagged "WrestleMania Goes Hollywood" and Batista defeated Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship and John Cena defeated JBL for the WWE Title.
WWE also confirmed that they will host NXT Takeover, SmackDown on FOX, Axxess, Monday Night RAW and the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony at the Los Angeles Convention Center in that same weekend.
WWE will host a press conference at SoFi Stadium on Tuesday to talk about its return to the Los Angeles area and the plans for WrestleMania week.

What's always fun about WrestleMania in Hollywood is the connection to movies and the promotional material leading up to the show. So too, when WWE goes to Hollywood, there are usually more than a few celebrities who make an appearance considering the event takes place in the backyard of a ton of actors and movie stars.
