Asuka currently has temporary teeth thanks to Shayna Baszler, and the injuries inflicted will take six months to fully heal.

Asuka suffered a pretty gnarly-looking injury at the hands, or rather the feet, of Shayna Baszler a few weeks ago. The Queen of Spades delivered a rather stiff kick to The Empress while she was down on the mat, sending one of her teeth flying from her mouth. WWE later clarified a number of Asuka's teeth had been dislodged, and there were unconfirmed reports she also suffered a concussion.

News that Asuka might have a concussion came in hand-in-hand with worries that she will miss WrestleMania. Those rumors were compounded by Asuka's absence from a new WrestleMania poster. However, The Empress returned on Raw and made a beeline for Baszler as soon as she walked down the ramp. Asuka then proceeded to beat the Tag Team Champion in singles action.

Asuka has since revealed a little more information regarding where she's at in terms of recovery from the injury. The Raw Women's Champion explained via Japanese social media platform NowVoice that even though she has been cleared to return, it will take six months until the injuries inflicted by Baszler will fully heal. For the time being, she has to have temporary teeth to replace the ones that were knocked out.

After six months have passed and the injuries inflicted by Baszler have healed, Asuka will be able to have implants put in to replace the teeth she lost. Thankfully, it seems like she will be allowed to wrestle throughout her recovery. What fans now want to know is her WrestleMania plans. Asuka is the Raw Women's Champion and she still doesn't have a challenger.

WWE appears to have forgotten about Asuka's title, even before she suffered her injury. The red brand's championship hasn't been defended since last November, and it currently isn't on the card for this Sunday's Fastlane. Charlotte Flair has already declared her interest in facing Asuka at WrestleMania. However, both Flair and Asuka have Rhea Ripley to worry about who is slated to arrive on Monday nights any day now.
