Lex Luger was one of the biggest stars in WCW history, working for the company in two different stints, from 1988 to 1992, and from 1995 to 2001. Luger was a two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time United States Heavyweight Champion, two-time World Television Champion, and two-time World Tag Team Champion.

Luger was always a winner, in fact, he won 301 matches in WCW, with only 92 losses. It was unusual to see Lex Luger lose, but curiously, he lost his last seven matches in WCW and 10 of his last 16. In that sense, let's take a look at those Lex Luger’s last 10 losses in WCW.
10 Vs. Goldberg – Starrcade 2000
At Starrcade 2000, Lex Luger faced Goldberg in a No Disqualification match. This was a huge match, two of the most popular wrestlers of the era going one-on-one. However, the match was rather disappointing and forgettable. Frankly, 12 minutes felt too long, as the match quickly became monotonous. The run-ins and interferences made the bout more entertaining. In the end, Goldberg hit his lethal Spear and Jackhammer combination to defeat Luger.
9 Vs. Kevin Nash – Monday Nitro
During the January 29, 2001, episode of Monday Nitro, Lex Luger joined forces with Buff Bagwell to face Kevin Nash in a two-on-one handicap match. This match was a disaster, less than four minutes full of interference and referee changes.

Kevin Nash looked very strong as he easily defeated Luger and Bagwell, but burying two top heels like this was a questionable booking decision. Nash hit his Jackknife Powerbomb on both Luger and Bagwell, pinning the latter to get the win. All in all, too many shenanigans, not enough wrestling, terrible match.
8 Vs. Brian Adams – Thunder
Believe it or not, Brian Adams defeated Lex Luger in singles action. This happened during the February 7, 2001 episode of Thunder, which was terrible, and already WCW was showing clear signs of its demise. Lex Luger became a WCW legend, in contrast, Brian Adams was never more than a mid-card wrestler, and that's precisely why this Lex Luger’s defeat came as a surprise to all and sundry.
7 Vs. Chuck Palumbo – Thunder
On the February 21, 2001, episode of Thunder, Lex Luger faced off against Chuck Palumbo. Luger cut a promo, showing his arrogance, and the crowd responded with Goldberg chants. Luger called out Palumbo, who made his entrance.

After the match began, Luger and Palumbo exchanged blows, Luger dominated the match, but he got confident, allowing Chuck Palumbo to roll him up for the upset victory. This was the first of seven consecutive losses for Lex Luger in WCW. Luger was furious, and he brutally attacked Palumbo, but Sean O'Haire made the save.
6 Vs. Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page & The Cat – Monday Nitro
During the February 26, 2001, edition of Monday Nitro, Lex Luger teamed with Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner to face Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, and The Cat. This was a pretty entertaining match, with a very good second half. The crowd was hot, and all the workers did a good job, except for the Cat. Lex Luger looked good, and Booker T looked amazing. After 12 minutes of action, Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, and The Cat were the winners.
5 Vs. Sean O'Haire – Monday Nitro
On the March 5, 2001, episode of Monday Nitro, Lex Luger faced off against Sean O'Haire, who was one of the youngsters who were set to reignite the spark of WCW. Lex Luger, willing to elevate the young talent, agreed to lose to O'Haire, but unfortunately, the match was lousy. Sean O'Haire looked green, showing sloppy offense, and we know Luger wasn't a great performer either. Buff Bagwell accidentally hit Luger, which allowed O'Haire to win the match.
4 Vs. Chuck Palumbo – Thunder
Lex Luger got his rematch against Chuck Palumbo on the March 7, 2001, episode of Thunder. The feud barely lasted three minutes, which was a shame because Luger and Palumbo were doing a good job and there were some good moves. Lex Luger tried to perform his Torture Rack, it looked like Luger would get his revenge, but Palumbo somehow managed to break free, and rolled Lex Luger over to defeat him again. It's admirable that a superstar like Luger put Chuck Palumbo over twice in a row.
3 Vs. Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo – Thunder
On the March 14, 2001, episode of Thunder, Totally Buff faced off against WCW Tag Team Champions Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo in a four corners elimination match. Buff Bagwell eliminated Chuck Palumbo, but Sean O'Haire immediately responded and eliminated Lex Luger. O'Haire and Bagwell went at it for a few seconds, until the former hit his Seanton Bomb for the win.
2 Vs. Booker T – Monday Nitro
On March 12, 2001, on Monday Nitro, Lex Luger and Booker T collided. This match was very attractive on paper but unfortunately ended up being a forgettable match. Luger started off by mercilessly attacking Booker T, applying his Torture Rack, the referee rang the bell, and Luger celebrated, but in reality, the referee signaled the start of the match. Booker T fought back and, after five minutes, hit the Book End and made the cover to win the match.
1 Vs. Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire – Greed
Lex Luger's last WCW match, and logically his last defeat, was against Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire at Greed, WCW's last PPV. Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell had spent weeks feuding against Palumbo and O'Haire, and at Greed they would settle the score once and for all. Surprisingly, the match was over in less than a minute, with an easy win for Palumbo and O'Haire. It's a shame Luger didn't get a proper match to end his WCW career.
