The night Sasha Banks and Naomi handed over the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles and walked out of Raw was so long ago, the wrestling landscape has changed massively since it happened. It also happened so long ago that Banks has changed her name and moved on to New Japan. Naomi remains pretty much radio silent though, her wrestling future still undetermined.
Naomi's Wrestling Future
There have been clues and hints suggesting what might be coming next for Naomi, but nothing for a while until this past weekend. The former SmackDown Women's Champion has updated her Instagram bio, suggesting that she might well be done with WWE, for now at least. While it still includes a reference to her Twitter handle, which includes her ring name and WWE, the top line now reads “just Trinity”.

Naomi's real name is Trinity Fatu, so the change suggests that whatever she does next, she will be going by her actual name. That implies she is on her way out of WWE, or perhaps more accurately that she will not be going back. Even though it seemed as if Naomi was in Japan with Banks, now Mercedes Mone, when she debuted, she obviously didn't accompany her to the ring or appear at Wrestle Kingdom.
Just Trinity
It was reported the only reason Mone waited so long to compete elsewhere was due to her WWE deal not expiring until the end of 2022. It's possible Naomi also negotiated her way out of the company, but she's had to wait a couple more months until she was legally allowed to move on with her career.
Whatever Naomi has planned, the change to her bio might well be the biggest indicator yet that she won't be going back to WWE. Something some fans hoped they would see so that she could join her husband in The Bloodline. Naomi is still currently listed as an active Superstar on WWE.com. While that's sometimes a sign that a wrestler remains a part of the roster, Banks wasn't moved to the alumni section until she debuted for New Japan.
