WWE has announced this year's WrestleMania will once again be a two-night event. In fairness, WrestleMania has effectively become a week-long event at this point. Episodes of Raw, SmackDown, and the Hall of Fame ceremony fill every single night of the week. It has also been confirmed that there will be another edition of NXT Stand And Deliver. There's a lot of time to fill between now and then, however, and that's where NXT Vengeance Day comes in.

Vengeance was a staple on the WWE PPV calendar for eight straight years at the turn of the century. The brand was revived by NXT last year and renamed Vengeance Day. Despite the NXT 2.0 rebrand, Vengeance Day is sticking around and will return to our TV screens on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. That's right, it's a themed episode of NXT's weekly show and not a TakeOver, or whatever it is we should be calling NXT specials at this point. That means you will be able to watch Vengeance Day live on whichever network or channel you regularly view NXT at its normal start time of 8 pm EST.
Bron Breakker vs. Santos Escobar for the NXT Championship
Bron Breakker has had quite the few months. This time last year most fans didn't even know who he was. Now he's NXT Champion and at Vengeance Day, the second generation star will defend it for the very first time. Santos Escobar has finally stepped up to the top table, and next week he will try to win the NXT Title for the very first time in his career.
Unfortunately for Escobar and the rest of Legado Del Fantasma, that isn't going to happen. Breakker is the future of NXT, and perhaps even a future World Champion on the main roster. While Escobar is also a key player in NXT 2.0, he's not winning this one and Breakker will still be champion after Vengeance Day.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Cameron Grimes for the NXT North American Championship
You won't be able to tell just by looking at it, but NXT's North American Title has now absorbed the duties of the Cruiserweight Championship. Actually, the latter has simply been retired, but play along. Carmelo Hayes did that by beating Roderick Strong at New Year's Evil, and now a new challenger has emerged. Cameron Grimes, and the former Million Dollar Champion is eager to add some officially recognized WWE gold to his resume.
The result of this one is tough to predict. Despite both Superstars being a part of NXT prior to the rebrand, they have both been established as staples of NXT 2.0. Having Hayes beat Strong and absorb his title might well give him the edge in this one. Grimes also feels very much like an act that could work on the main roster, so maybe a loss here and a call-up is in his not-so-distant future.
Toxic Attraction vs. Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships
A lot of new names and faces were brought into the fold when NXT became NXT 2.0. One of the more welcome surprises has been the success of Toxic Attraction. The trio is led by NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne will have to get the job done without Rose at Vengeance Day as they defend their titles against the Aussie duo of Indi Hartwell and her good friend Persia Pirotta.
At this stage, this might well be the most likely match on the Vengeance Day card to experience a title change. Toxic Attraction is yet to put a foot wrong thus far, and it depends how long that streak will continue when it comes to predicting this match. Hartwell and Pirotta also don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, so it seems likely the two of them might well dethrone Dolin and Jayne and win the titles.
Pete Dunne vs. Tony D'Angelo in a Steel Cage Match
While Hartwell and Pirotta might not be going anywhere, it feels as if Pete Dunne might be. A number of NXT stars from the old guard have been getting trial matches on the main roster, possibly ahead of call-ups. The Bruiserweight is one of them, but before he leaves NXT, potentially forever, Dunne has been battling with NXT 2.0 newcomer Tony D'Angelo.
The rivalry between the two has had some pretty violent moments, which is why the only way to bring the curtain down on it for good is to have them go to war inside of a steel cage. This could well be a contender for match of the night, and when it comes to who is going to win, it will probably be D'Angelo covering the former NXT UK Champion as he does the honors on his way out the territory.
The Creed Brothers vs. MSK In The Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final
There's no way of knowing which NXT traditions WWE has decided to keep around and which have been scrapped as part of the rebrand until they happen, or they don't. Thankfully, the Dusty Classic is an annual tradition that will continue. This year the men's and women's Classics are taking place at different times. While the women's tournament is yet to begin, the men's is almost over.
The final of the men's Classic will go down at Vengeance Day, and the two teams vying for the cup have been decided. Diamond Mine's Creed Brothers, and defending champions MSK. MSK set NXT alight when they arrived last year, winning the Dusty Classic before even losing a match and then going on to become NXT Tag Team Champions. They might well win the cup again at Vengeance Day which will earn them the opportunity to become two-time champions.
